Niger State Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Sani Bello, has hinged the relative peace and security being enjoyed in the state on the synergy and operational arrangement among all the security agencies in the state.
He said this on Monday in Minna, the state capital while observing Iftar (breaking of fast) with heads of security agencies in the state.
The governor commended all the security agencies in the state for complimenting government efforts at keeping the state safe, secured and peaceful.
“There can be no better time for me to express the appreciation of the people of the state to all security agencies in the state than now. I wish to appreciate you all for complimenting our efforts at ensuring a peaceful, secured and safe state.
“I commend the high level of synergy and operational arrangement among all the security agencies. These have immensely contributed to the peace and security we are having today in the state,” the Governor noted.
Gov. Bello however, advised the security chiefs not to relax but ensure sustainability of their collaborative efforts by intensifying and working out new strategies of reducing crime rate in the state to the barest minimum.
“We are aware of some parts of the state that require more presence of security agencies. We are looking into such areas with a view to attending to them. You all can be rest assured that, the government will put in all it takes to secure lives and properties of our people.
“So I call on all security agencies in the state to continue to live up to their responsibilities, ensure, sustain and improve on the level of peace, security and safety of the state,” Gov. Sani urged the security chiefs.
