The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Monday, June 20, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri and Potiskum in the morning. There are chances of localised thunderstorms later in the day over Sokoto, Birnin- Kebbi and Yelwa axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32- 37oC.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of localised thunderstorms in the morning over Abuja, Lafia, Jalingo and Yola. Possibilities of isolated thunderstorms over the high grounds of central states including Minna, Bida, Lokoja and Kaduna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27-32oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Isolated thunderstorm is expected over the coast and inland cities in the morning hours. Rain showers is not unlikely later in the day over some places like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Oshogbo and Akure. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29-31oC.
