Police have reportedly arrested the management of Areago Community High School Ogbomoso, over their alleged involvement in a clash between students and some residents within the community.

They are currently being detained at Owode Divisional Police Station, Ogbomoso, according to multiple sources.

The affected staff, according to the sources, are, ?A Vice Principal, two senior teachers, and a day guard in the school.?

Investigations revealed that an altercation between some students of the school and some women in the area who attempted to pass through the school premises on commercial motorcycle prompted the argument.

It was further gathered that the residents were prevented by the students because the Parent Teacher Association of the school had embarked on erection of a perimeter fence.

One of the sources, who preferred anonymity said, ?Construction of the fence became imperative because the school has become porous. A lot of untoward things are daily recorded in the school as a result of porosity of the school.?

Another source said, ?The school will no longer tolerate nonsense. The meeting we are holding is very crucial, and is one of the way forward.? (Saturday Tribune)
