The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 8, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition will prevail over Sokoto, Nguru, Maiduguri, Kano and Potiskum in the morning. There are chances of isolated thunderstorms around Kano, Katsina, Sokoto and Yelwa axis later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34- 40oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated around the high grounds of central states over places like Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba in the morning. There are also chances of evening/night thunderstorms over some places like Northern Abuja, Minna , Kaduna , plateau and Mambila. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 35oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of morning rainfall over the entire coastal cities which will likely affect places like Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Calabar. While places in the Inland cities like Akure, Oshogbo, Enugu and Awka should also expect isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 34oC.
