Lagos warehouse filled with unregistered and expired supermarket items
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has raided a warehouse in Oke-Afa, Okota, Lagos, filled with unregistered and expired supermarket items.
This was revealed in a statement shared on X.com (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
According to NAFDAC, acting on intelligence, officials swooped in on the facility, catching operators unloading a 20ft container of unregistered carbonated drinks.
Further inspection revealed 14 rooms stocked with unregistered and expired products, some contaminated by rats due to poor storage conditions.
The statement read: ?NAFDAC has uncovered a warehouse in Oke-Afa, Okota, Lagos, stocked with unregistered and expired supermarket items.
