Rwanda produced a brilliant display this Monday evening in a Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Nigeria, who had already qualified after last weekend’s one-all draw against hosts Benin Republic, went ahead early in the second half through Samuel Chukwueze.

However, the Amavubi refused to give up, cancelling the deficit and eventually going ahead to run away with a rare 2-1 victory.

But despite the win, the Rwandans did not make it to the competition as they fell short to Benin Republic who picked the group’s second ticket.
