Niger Delta Avengers suffer setback

The Niger Delta Avengers have suffered a setback following the sudden knocking out of their official website, one of the major means through which they promote their mission and activities.

While using their Twitter account, ‏@NDAvengers, to whet people’s appetite, the Avengers usually provide details through their website, http://www.nigerdeltaavengers.com

However, repeatedly checks on Sunday morning and early afternoon by News Express showed that the website no longer exists. News Express repeatedly tried to open the site but received the following message: “Error 404 (Not found)!!!” Instead of the Home Page displaying, what appears in its place is the following message from Google: “404. That’s an error. The requested URL / was not found on this server. That’s all we know.”

It is not yet clear who knocked out the site with its rich mine of information on the bombing activities of the Avengers who have threatened to cripple oil production – the very lifeblood of the Nigerian economy.
