The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, June 2, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is expected over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms around Bauchi, Gombe and parts of Borno, Kano, Gusau, Sokoto and Yelwa in the late afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 37 - 39oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with prospect of localised thunderstorms around Jos, Mambila, Benue and part of Jalingo and environs in the morning. Evening thunderstorms are likely over the high grounds of the central states. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 32 -35oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region with prospect of thunderstorms over Obudu, Calabar, Eket, Ikom and Port Harcourt in the morning hours. Some cities within this region may likely experience late afternoon/evening thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures forecast are expected to be in the range of 30-33oC.
