
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 1, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions will likely prevail over this area, with build-up of rain clouds expected by early afternoon and localised thunderstorms in the evening over Zaria, Kano, Yelwa, Gusau and Sokoto axis. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30-38oC.
CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of localised thunderstorms around Lafia Makurdi and Mambilla Plateau in the morning, and a wider spread of rainfall activities later in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27-30oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Morning rainfall is expected over Obudu, Ikom and Ogoja axis in the morning with prospects of evening localised thunderstorms over the region with exception of Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, and Ibadan which should remain cloudy. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 29-32oC.
