MOSOP moves to reconcile warring Ogoni communities

The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called on the people of Kabnyor and Luawii communities to embrace peace and cease further hostilities.

President of MOSOP, Legborsi Pyagbara, made the call yesterday during a meeting with leaders and stakeholders from the community in Bori. The meeting which held at the instance of the Bori Police Area Commander was to chat a way forward for the return of peace to the troubled communities.

The MOSOP President noted that it was important for the Ogoni people not to play into the hands of our enemies and sponsors of violence in our communities which is clearly to frustrate efforts to cleanup Ogoniland.

He called on all parties to sheath their sword and cooperate with the efforts of the Police and community leaders to restore sanity to the areas.

You will recall that the flag off of the Ogoni environment cleanup is to be launched next week by the president, Muhammadu Buhari.
