BurnaBoy, Speed Darlington and his mom, Queen
Miss Queen, the mother of controversial singer, Speed Darlington, has alleged that her missing son was picked up by popular Afrobeat artist, Burna Boy and his team.
Speed Darlington became a trending topic on social media following the news of his disappearance on Monday.
The singer’s mother has now come forward to claim that it was Burna Boy who picked up her son.
In a video, the woman, who stated that Darlington is her only son, revealed that she received a call from Darlington’s gateman informing her that Burna Boy and his team had come to their house to pick him up.
According to her, Darlington was picked up because of a video he posted online in which he accused Burna Boy of being gay and of sleeping with embattled U.S. rapper, Puff Diddy in order to win a Grammy Award.
Miss Queen, however, urged Nigerians to help her beg Burna Boy to forgive and release Darlington.
She said, “My name is Miss Queen. I am Darlington’s mother. I just got information that my son is missing. Speed Darlington is missing. His gateman called my family and notified my family that there is a video Darlington made and put on the internet about BurnaBoy. So he notified my family that BurnaBoy came with his team and they picked Darlington up from his house.
“Please, Darlington is my only son. One and only son I have. I’m begging my fellow Nigerians, please everyone should help me to beg BurnaBoy. My knees on the ground, please I am begging you BurnaBoy, temper justice with mercy. Have mercy on my son. Forgive him, please.
“Nigerians, please come to Darlington’s aid. Please. All Nigerians, all Darlington’s fans should join me to beg BurnaBoy. This is me, Darlington’s biological mother. I am begging. I don’t know what to say other than I’m begging. He is my only son, forgive him.” (Nigerian Tribune)
