
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, May 27, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over some parts of the regions in the morning. Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa axis will have chances of localised thunderstorm later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33- 41oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorms are anticipated in the morning over Kaduna, Lafia, Minna, Jos and Abuja. Chances of isolated thunderstorms over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Bida and Nasarawa in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28-33oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Isolated rain showers are expected over the coast with cloudy situation around the inland cities, like Oshogbo, Akure, Enugu and Awka in the morning. Later in the day chances of localised thunderstorm over most parts of coastal and inland cities in places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Awka and Owerri axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28-33oC.
