Potiskum-based photographer, Saidu Abdurahman has made a bold attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most headshot photographs taken in one hour.

Abdurahman, a talented photographer from Potiskum town of Yobe State, captured an astonishing 897 headshots within the allotted time, surpassing the existing record of 500 headshots set in the past.

The record-breaking attempt took place at Government Day Secondary School, Potiskum with witnesses and officials present to verify the achievement.

Speaking shortly after the ceremony, he said “I’m thrilled to have pushed beyond the limits and made Yobe State proud,” Abdurahman said. “This achievement showcases my creativity, skill, and dedication to photography.”

The images, according to him, will be submitted to Guinness World Records for verification, and if confirmed, Abdurahman will become the new record holder.

The Focal Person Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) Yobe, Nuhu Baba Hassan, said, “We are proud of Saidu’s achievement and his representation of Yobe State. This showcases the talent and potential of our youths.”

Similarly, Dr. Mohammed Goje, the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) hailed the photographer for the record breaking. (Daily Independent)
