Today’s Weather: NiMET predicts cloudy conditions, thunderstorms and rainfall

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, May 24, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of morning thunderstorms to affect Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Nguru and Damaturu axis, while afternoon/evening thunderstorms are likely over Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Zaria and Yelwa. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 33-38oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the entire region in the morning hours while there are chances of afternoon/evening localised thunderstorm activities. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 26-35oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of morning rainfall over parts of the coastal cities while afternoon/evening thunderstorms are likely over the entire region. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 31-31oC.
