The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Monday, May 23, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy situation with chances of localised thunderstorm is expected around Katsina, Gusau, Sokoto and Kano in the morning. There are possibilities of localised thunderstorms later in the day around Maiduguri, Nguru and Potiskum axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32- 39oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Yola, Lafia, Jos and its environs will experience morning thunderstorms. Chances of isolated thunderstorm will not be unlikely over Abuja, Minna, Bida and Kaduna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26- 32oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition with prospect of isolated thunderstorm over cities such as Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta and Akure during the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorm later in the day over places like Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu and Awka. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31-35oC.
