Shock, grief as Nollywood actor Emmanuel France dies

Nollywood actor Emmanuel France




Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has passed away.

France, believed to be in his 80s, was celebrated for his roles in films such as Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director.

Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe confirmed France’s death via his Instagram page on Monday, expressing sadness and recalling their fond memories together.

“Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,” Ogedengbe wrote. “One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director. R.I.P.”

As of the time of this report, the cause of France’s death remains unconfirmed.

His passing has left fans and colleagues in shock and grief, coming just days after the death of another Nollywood actor, Big Larry. (Courtesy, excluding headline, The PUNCH)
