The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, Honourable Ishola Balogun-Fulani and the state secretary of the party, Mr Olabode Adekanye, have regained freedom from kidnappers.
They were kidnapped by gunmen along the Abuja-Lokoja highway on Friday.
A spokesman for the party in the state, Sulyman Buhari, said the party chairman and the secretary were freed on Saturday.
He said the collaborative efforts and synergy between the Nigerian Police and other security agencies led to the release of the duo.
The party hailed security agencies for securing the unconditional release of its leaders as swift as possible.
The party also appreciated the support and prayers from members of the All Progressives Congress across the country.
Earlier the family called for intervention of the police and the state government in securing their release.
They had said that no ransom had been demanded by the kidnappers. (Channels TV)
