The Umuorii Women Association in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State has showered praises on a serving Military Officer, Mrs Esther N. Chidozie, describing her as a rare gem for bringing her 85-year-old sick mother-in-law to live with her despite her busy schedule and caring for her in a way that many biological daughters would not.

Consequently, the Association, in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Mrs Ugochi John-Anam and President General, Dr Mrs Rosemary I. Uchegbu, has decided to honour Chidozie, who hails from Nekede in Owerri West, with an award of a STAR MOTHER during this years August meeting.

ESTHER N. CHIDOZIE is one of the women married to Umuekwunne kindred in Umuorii Uratta in Owerri North LGA, Imo state. She is a rare gem, a highly placed but humble person. She relates well with people.

Esther, not minding her work and tight schedules took it upon herself to carry her sick mother-in-law to the city and presently taking care of her, this is not common. Many daughters do not take care of their sick mothers talkless of a daughter-in-law.

This is the reason, in this years August Meeting, the Umuorii Women Association led by Dr Mrs Rosemary I. Uchegbu the President General of the association and her Executives in agreement with her kindred head, Mrs Goodness Mbata and her Executives and infact the entire Umuorii women decided to give her a meritorious award as a STAR MOTHER.

She is indeed a Star, the statement reads.
