Arrested Egyptian Olympic wrestler Mohamed Kesho Ibrahim
Egyptian Olympic wrestler Mohamed ˜Kesho Ibrahim was arrested in Paris on August 9 for alleged sexual assault.
The Paris prosecutors office stated that Kesho, a member of Egypts Olympic delegation, was apprehended around 5 a.m. outside the Oz Café after allegedly touching another customers buttocks.
Kesho, who won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games, faces a potential lifetime ban from competition if the allegations are confirmed, according to the Egyptian Olympic Committee (EOC). The EOC announced that Kesho will be investigated by its ethics committee, and if found guilty, he will be permanently suspended from both domestic and international competitions.
Kesho, who was defeated in the first round of the mens 67kg Greco-Roman wrestling by Azerbaijans Hasrat Jafarov, had been granted permission to leave the Egyptian camp to watch the final of his weight category but failed to return and turned off his phone. (AriseNews TV)
