The Imo State Government has handed over the premises of Resin Paint Industry at Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area to a Chinese company for the coupling and production of electronics, prepaid meters, cables and electrical materials.
During the handing over ceremony at the premises of Resin Paint Factory, Governor Rochas Okorocha, urged the people of Aboh Mbaise to take advantage of the huge asset in their domain and protect it as well as support the Chinese company as they commence activities in the factory.
The Governor said that the new company will definitely provide avenue for job opportunities in the state and also boost the economy of the state.
Imo State will soon become a hub for production of electronics and electrical materials in the southeast and Nigeria at large, he said.
The Imo State Government had previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese company to commence the production of electronics and electrical materials.
According to the Governor, the MoU signed with the Chinese company signified that the vision of the second phase of his administration, which is majorly on industrialisation and creation of job opportunities, had kicked off. (Channels TV)
