Dust haze to prevail today in the North, cloudy conditions in Central, localised thunderstorms

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, March 21, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition will prevail over Kano, Nguru, Maiduguri, Damaturu, Dutse and Potiskum and Sokoto. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-28oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions is anticipated in the morning and afternoon over some parts of the central states including Abuja, Minna and Bida. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-28oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorms are likely over some parts of the coastal areas (Badagry, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt and Calabar) in the morning. While cloudy condition is expected in the inland cities of the south. Oshogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu and Awka should have localised thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening hour. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25-27oC.
