Preparations for the 2023 All African Games, scheduled to take place from March 8th to March 23rd, 2024, are currently in full swing, with all competitions fixed and competitors confirmed.
According to a report on theCAFofficial website, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the complete list of qualified teams for both the mens and womens categories.
For the mens category, the CAF Executive Committee has determined that the eight Quarterfinalists from the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023, along with the host nation Ghana, will secure berths in the event.
The same age category utilized during the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON will be upheld.
The qualified teams are Benin, Congo, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia, and Uganda.
In the womens event, the teams that participated in the fourth qualifying rounds of the FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup Costa Rica 2022 will secure qualification for the Final tournament of the African Games Accra 2023, adhering to the same age category.
The eight qualifying teams include host Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, and Uganda.
A total of nine teams will compete in the Mens division, while eight teams will participate in the womens division of the competition.

The All African Games since its maiden edition in 1965 in Brazzaville (Congo) will see another energising African sports hive as 8 Olympic Sports, 15 Non-Olympic Gems, and 6 Demonstration Sports are expected to take place at the sports facilities for the African games.
Burkina Faso and Nigeria claimed gold in the mens and womens events respectively at the last edition of the continental multisport event held in 2019 in Rabat, Morocco.(Nation)
