Abibat Adjoto, mother of a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Kabiru Adjoto, who was abducted by gunmen on Saturday, made a miraculous escape hours later, according to a report.
The 68-year-old Abibat was kidnapped at her residence in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the state, along with one of her adopted sons, whose identity has yet to be verified.
She, however, miraculously regained her freedom, according to a TVC report quoting the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Osifo Abiodun.
The police spokesman said she has since been reunited with her family.
