
The Nigerian Army says it is in the process of rescuing some women and children that were abducted on Wednesday in Sabongari village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The women were abducted on Wednesday in a forest near Sabongari while they were fetching firewood, allegedly by Boko Haram insurgents.
Spokesman of the Nigerian Army in Mubi Local Government, Captain Akintoye Badare, told Channels Television that the military have already rescued some of the women.
He said that the Army was on the trail of the abductors and was hopeful of securing their release soon.
