The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has ratified the appointment of Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, as a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party.
A letter signed by the National Secretary of the APC, Hon Mai Mala Buni, with reference number APC/NHDQ/BOT/43/014/216 made available to newsmen on Wednesday, said the selection is in pursuant to Article 12.2 (viii) of the party’s constitution “but most especially your laudable contribution in the making of our great Party.”
The appointment is for a period of four years.
Meanwhile, the Forum of First to Fourth Republic Senators and Honorable members today gave Senator Na’Allah, representative of Kebbi South senatorial zone, the an Icon of the Legislature Award at its National Conference in Abuja.
The forum said Na’Allah was carefully selected for the presentation of the award of excellence among Nigeria legislators from 1961-2016 because of his contribution to legislative achievements while in the lower chamber and in his current position at the upper chamber of the NASS.
The Forum has former Senate President Joseph Wayas as National Leader and Hon. Tony Mike Akpan as National Co-ordinator cum Secretary.
