The Africa Cup of Nations Côte d'Ivoire 2023 round of 16 games got underway this Saturday evening, January 27, 2024, with Angola whipping hapless Namibia 3-0 at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake.
The rampaging Angolans were two goals up by half time, completing the rout on the restart.
Angola had managed to top Group D with 7 points. They recorded wins over Mauritania and Burkina Faso and a draw with Algeria.
Namibia, on the other hand, recorded their first and only win in the history of the AFCON, the victory played a vital role in their qualification to the knockout phase.
