The Ogun State Government has announced the death of Mrs. Dinah Vivian Lambo (nee Adams) matriarch of the Thomas Adeoye Lambo family.
The late Mrs. Lambo who died on Saturday, March 19, 2016, aged 93, was the widow of late Professor Thomas Adeoye Lambo, Africa’s first Professor of Psychiatry and former Director general of the World Health Organization, WHO, who was an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Adejuwon Soyinka, Senior Special Assistant (Media) to Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, said that his prinicipal while commiserating with the family, also thanked God for the life of Mrs. Lambo, whom he described as “a virtuous, resourceful and committed ally of her late husband.”
The governor added that although she will be sorely missed, the late Mrs. Lambo lived a life worthy of emulation and should therefore be celebrated even in death, Adejuwon Soyinka said in a statement issued this morning in Abeokuta.
