The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, March 18, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy condition is expected over Maiduguri, Damaturu and Gombe. Increased cloudiness is anticipated over the Northwest which may give rise to localised thundery activities over Yelwa and Gusau axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-29oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated in the morning with prospects of afternoon/evening localised thunderstorms over some parts of the central states including Yola axis. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-28oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of localised thundery showers in places such as Akure, Oshogbo, Iseyin, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Shaki, Enugu, and Owerri including the coastal areas, like Port Harcourt, Eket, Yenagoa and Calabar in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-27oC.
