The Ogoni Ethnic Nationality (OEN) has unanimously endorsed Senator Olaka Nwogu, Rivers South East Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rt. Hon. Dum Deekor, PDP, Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency, Dr. Jacobson Nbina, Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo Federal Constituency and all PDP candidates in the re-run election, holding on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Ogoni Ethnic Nationality, an umbrella body of all Ogoni people took the decision Thursday, in an enlarged meeting of the group, held in Bori, the traditional headquarters of the Ogoni people.
The group accordingly, urged all Ogoni people to vote for only the PDP candidates in the re-run election on Saturday, March 19.
The group in a statement signed by the spokesman, Elder Tambari Monday, described the recent killing of Ogoni people, including pregnant women in Ogoni by the military instigated by Magnus Abe, Barry Mpigi and the APC as crime against the spirit of Ogoni and the struggle for the liberation of the Ogoni people.
While describing Magnus Abe, Barry Mpigi and the APC as agents of darkness, the group said they have petitioned the international community.
