The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, will later today (Jan 1, 2024) witness the finals of Nanka Champions League holding at Neros Stadium, Nanka, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The league, a yearly event single-handedly sponsored by a son of the soil, Chief Pauly Emenike, Chairman NEROS Pharmaceuticals Ltd., is in its 40th edition today.
News Express learnt that Gusau, who arrived the state on Sunday, will be jetting out to Ivory Coast soon after for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated to kick off on 13 January, 2024.
In dragging the NFF boss to the 2023 Nanka Champions League final, Emenike wants to add value to the beautiful game in his community, ensure the NFF boss enjoys the serene atmosphere of Nanka as well as its hospitality and also to encourage youths in the community to take active part in football.
Emenike, sponsor of the annual Anambra FA Cup, recently sponsored a U-17 football Championship organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON).
