Jack Grealishs home was targeted by thieves while the Manchester City footballer was playing in his sides 3-1 win against Everton in Liverpool.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary at the house in Cheshire at about 21:50 GMT on Wednesday, police said.

Jewelries and watches worth £1m were stolen, according to The Sun newspaper.

A search was carried out, supported by police dogs and a helicopter, but officers did not find any suspects.

A spokeswoman for Cheshire Police added: No arrests have been made at this time and inquiries are ongoing.

Citys manager Pep Guardiola told a pre-match press conference earlier Grealishs family had been at home at the time.

It was a bad moment for him and his family, he said, adding nobody was hurt. (BBC)
