Governor Alex Otti
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has appointed 24 new permanent secretaries, four months after he suspended those inherited from his predecessor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
Otti had on July 1 suspended the permanent secretaries who served under the immediate past administration, except the permanent secretary/clerk of the State House of Assembly, John Pedro Iroakazi and the permanent secretary/solicitor general, Uzoamaka Uche Ikonne.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, the government explained that the appointment of new permanent secretaries followed the recent examination and interview conducted.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries include; Ngozi Queen Obioma, Paul Ogwubunka, Uche Ukpabi Ukeje, Okezie Godwin Chukwudike, Justine Oluchi Eboh, Ogechukwu I. Maduka, Izuchukwu Onwughara, Obi “Chianakwalam Elechi Agatha, Chinagozi Bright Adindu, Ifeyinwa B. Uma Kalu, Ogechi Becky Oguama, Ijeoma Clara Dim, Nwanyieze O. Otum, Ugonma Mercy Jimonu, Benson Ojeikere, Uchechukwu Kalu, Ikechukwu Chidozie Oriuwa, Ijeoma Adanma Aguwa, Florence Chidinma Nwogu, Magdalene Kalu Onwu, Ezinne Judith Ngwakwe, Cyril Chibuike Nwaigwe, Ugochukwu Elefue Kingston and Sir Onwuegbu Christopher Nlewedim.
However, the statement did not disclose the fate of the suspended permanent secretaries who served under the previous administration. (Vanguard)
