Anambra SWAN Vice Chairman Pamela Eboh
Pamela Eboh, a Senior Correspondent with News Express, on Tuesday emerged as the new Vice Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State Chapter.
She was elected as part of the new Executive Council (EXCO) led by Patrick Anaso, a Reporter with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who emerged as the new Chairman.
Also elected were Ikenna Nwokedi of UNIZIK FM, Secretary, and Uche Ndeke of Radio Nigeria (Purity FM), Assistant Secretary.
Other members of the new executive are, Marvelous Ezenwa of Kpakpando FM, Treasurer, and Okwudili Awam of OperaNews, Financial Secretary.
The election, which took place in Awka, was conducted by the Electoral Committee chaired by Mr Ikem Asika, with supervision by two national officers, the zonal Vice President, South East, SWAN, Mr Frankie Omokhua, and National Secretary, Mr. Ikenna Okonkwo.
In his speech, the newly elected chairman, Anaso, thanked members for their trust and confidence in him. He urged members to work with the executive and make his term a successful one through suggestions, criticisms and support.
It is a call to duty, and we promise to put in our best to make SWAN Anambra become a critical component of the media community, Anaso said.
Earlier In the last Congress chaired the out-gone Chairman, Mr. Anthony Oji, he thanked SWAN members for making his tenure a success through cooperation and support.
