Seven-Up, Supa Komando throw weight behind Cycling Lagos 2023




Nigerias leading beverages company, Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC) has announced its partnership with the Cycling Lagos event for the second time in a row. Supa Komando, a unique energy drink from the companys stables, has similarly thrown its weight behind the competition.

Cycling Lagos, one of the biggest cycling events in Africa which was designed to encourage healthy living, is scheduled to be held between October 21 and 28, 2023.

GM. Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company, Mr. Segun Ogunleye, said the partnership with Cycling Lagos offers a great opportunity for the brand to create excitement among cycling enthusiasts in Lagos and energize them as they move around the city on their bicycles, promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director of BrandEscort Communications and creator of the cycling initiative, Bamidele Adeleye, said he was excited to see Seven-Up partnering with the Cycling event for the second time.

Seven-Up Bottling Company is a leader in the beverages industry that has been consistent in supporting sports development in Nigeria. Organisations such as this should be commended and rewarded, he said.

The 2nd Cycling Lagos will kick off with its Mini Tour of Lagos “ A promotional tour in select locations in Lagos on October 21, 2023. The Children Edition will also hold on October 21, 2023 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The Grand Finale of the event holds in Lagos on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

The event whichh is expected to further promote cycling as a major sporting activity in the country was designed to encourage Nigerians to embrace the culture of riding bicycles in their various communities for its health benefits.

The 2nd Cycling Lagos event with the theme, Greener Ride, is designed to promote alifestyle that is environmentally friendly. The competition is also aimed at championing healthy competition among corporate organisations as a way of promoting healthy lifestyle among corporate executives and Nigerians.

The 2023 edition Is also supported by the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lagos State Cycling Association, MultiChoice, owner of DStv and GoTV, Nestle Nigeria Plc, among others.
