The lid has finally been lifted on why Congo Aso exponent, 9ice, suddenly distanced himself from his Bosom age-long pal and highly creative producer, ID Cabassa, who turned his maiden album to an overnight hit which 9ice still enjoys its hype till date. The ever amiable-looking producer who used his Coded tunes label to do the magic recently let the cat out of the bag after a period of 10 years because it was inevitable. Hear him during the Chude Podcast interview: "9ice ex-wife, Seun Panye, had been the artiste manager of my Coded tunes label over the years before 9ice met her and fell in love with her. Both tied the knots in 2008. But sadly, the relationship broke-up in 2011, following 9ice allegation of infidelity against Panye. Unfortunately, he has made up his mind to break up with her despite my appeal to give peace a chance which actually fell on deaf ears," he recalled. Unknown to Cabassa, 9ice had made up his mind to end the marriage, despite the fact that Panye had a two-year old son, Zion, for him.                                      

The fact that Cabassa had appealed to him to forget the matter because of Zion, their 2 year-old son, which he shunned, did not please Cabassa.      

“I never knew that his ultimate was for me to sack Panye after their break-up. I saw his request as pure wickedness because Panye has been the artiste manager of my coded tunes for years,” Cabassa disclosed. 

From that moment, according to him, 9ice started distancing himself from him. "The malice was so serious that 9ice can't sit on same seat with me for years. I had to wonder aloud concerning what was happening and asking myself if it is not same 9ice who could take bullets for my sake before that is doing this to me?” he queried.
