
Winner, maiden Acting Challenge Reality Show, Ijeoma Obedience
The grand finale of Season One of the Acting Challenge Reality Show (Buga Da Star) has finally held with Ijeoma Obedience, better known as Oma, emerging as the winner with mouth-watering offers, including a property in Abuja and a cash prize of N1million.
Others are four movie projects, a trip to Jamaica powered by DIASPORA NIGERIA, and a conference trip to the USA powered by Ann Ogozi N.C.I.A.
The grand finale which took place on June 1, 2023, in Abuja, also saw the emergence of Abolade Olalekun Lanre (Screen god) as the first runner-up with N500, 000 cash prize, two movie projects, and a trip to Jamaica powered by DIASPORA NIGERIA.
Ivie Naomi (Navi) smiled home as the second runner-up with a cash prize of N300,000, two movie projects, and a trip to Jamaica powered by DIASPORA NIGERIA.
While congratulating the winners, the President/Founder, of Acting Challenge Reality Show and the Chief Executive Officer of Tv Yard Media Limited, Chief Dr. Okoroafor Chukwuemeka Chibuikem (Chucks Chyke), thanked them for enduring the months of tasks while the contest lasted.
Chibuikem said all participants, including those who did not make it to the first to third positions, have also been fully equipped to shine in the movie industry across Africa, urging them to make utmost use of the exposure they got from the show.
The reality TV show, which commenced on May 1, 2023, was targeted at harnessing the potentials of Nigerian youths in the entertainment industry, particularly in acting/filmmaking and being a successful entrepreneur.
More than 3,000 contestants registered for the challenge from December 2022 and participated in the audition exercise held throughout the six of the country, which was concluded at six zones across Nigeria.
The 30 contestants who made it to the final selection, proceeded to the house from May 1, 2023, where all housemates underwent training/tasks/challenges/and the extra mile to stand out tall for fame in the art.
The show was broadcast on DSTv, Gotv, StarTimes, Free TV, and YouTube (Acting Challenge Reality Show) channels.
Viewers were allowed to vote for their favourite housemates who would emerge the next superstar.
The project was packaged by TV Yard Media Ltd, in collaboration with Jhelp Concept Limited, supported by Tenache Homes and Property Limited and other renowned Nigerian companies. The show stands to be one of the biggest capacity-building programs in Africa.
Top industry players, including Sam Dede (actor/ film lecturer), Tina Mba (actor/film instructor), Ramsey Noah (actor/director /consultant), Fredrick Leonard (actor/director), Blossom Chukwujekwu (actor/content creator), Stan Nze (actor/ producer), Humsuk (actor/stunt instructor), Chris Odeh (Producer/film consultant), Paul Vicks Asogwa (Actor/Producer), Bem Pever (producer/director/film lecturer), Alex Mouth (director/ producer U.S.A) and Kayode Peters (actor/director U.K) were on ground to tutor the housemates.
