Rolly FC of Benin City began their preseason tour of Ikenne, Ogun State, on Thursday morning with a pulsating 2-2 draw against hosts Beyond Limits Football Academy, finalists of the 2023 Ogun State Aiteo FA Cup and academy side of NPFL big guns Remo Stars.

Rolly are intensely preparing for the forthcoming Benin City Youth League, a competition that has grown in stature as the toughest and most followed competition in football-crazy Edo State.

The coach Chukwudi Egonatu-tutored Rolly boys got off to a flying start with a two-goal first half lead courtesy of fine strikes from Raymond Ikhenoba in the 10th minute and Bekham in the 21st minutes.

With a raft of substitutions from both sides in the scond half, Beyond Limits pulled one back in the 69th minute and levelled scores with a sweet strike in the 84th minute.

The match was watched by the chairman of Bet9ja and owner of Remo Stars Kunle Soname.

He was joined by the President of Rolly FC Roland Inonoje and after the intense game that belied the fact it was a friendly match both engaged in a smile, chit-chat and posed for the cameras.
