The immediate past Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Delta Central Senatorial District, a business mogul, and the Captain of Ogunu Golf Club, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, on Saturday, 27th May, 2023, ended his Captaincy of the Club in a grand style.

Speaking during the ceremony to mark the end of a golf tournament held in his honour at Ogunu, Warri, Delta State, Captain Omaruaye thanked members of the Club and every volunteer who contributed so much to the betterment of Ogunu Golf Club and its members; and also commended every golfer for all the hard work they put in to make the game better.

He thanked all officials of the club who gave so much support to him and appreciated the major tasks taken by different individuals for the success of the club.

In his closing remarks, Omaruaye appreciated the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and his Deputy, Phillip Shaibu, his wife, Mrs Frances Omaruaye and the entire Omaruaye family for their support.

He equally acknowledged the inputs of Adjarho Mohammed Oyibo to the success of his tenure and the tournament to mark its end.

Omaruaye also recognised the support he got from Mr. Asue Ighodalo, the immediate past Cordinator of the Jamz golf group, Mr. Uyi Akpata, the current Cordinator of the Jamz Golf Group, all members of the Jamz Golf group , Mr. Jimmy Ahmed, NNG Golf Group , Sir Egbert Imomoh, Mr Tony Attah and members of the group, Omars Royal Company ltd, F&PO foundation, and International Distillers Ltd, among others .

The end of the Captaincy of Mr. Peters Omaruaye at the Ogunu Golf Club ended with two days of celebration which included commissioning of a Caddies Hut, cocktail party and Dinner Award Night.
