Brentford Striker Ivan Toney tops the chart after he was recently suspended by the Football Association for eight months.

The Brentford striker was charged with allegedly breaching the FA’s betting rules on 232 occasions in a time period stretching from February 2017 and January 2021.

2.Kieran Tripper

Newcastle defender Kieran Tripper was once a victim of betting charges. He was on the verge of a transfer to Atletico Madrid in July 2019, Tripper hinted to personal friends about the updates in a WhatsApp chat group and it took a toll on him as his friends took his hints seriously and staked multiple bets on the move, which didn’t work out in the end.

3.Daniel Sturridge

33-year-old Daniel Sturridge was once the first-choice striker for England and a key player for Brendan Rodger’s title-challenging Liverpool team.

However, he saw his football career retrograde before him in In 2019, as he was found guilty of breaching the betting rules after allegations emerged that he spilled information about a potential transfer in January 2018.

4.Martin Demichelis

2013/14 Premier League winner with Man City, Martin Demichelis was charged with gambling offenses by the FA for betting on football matches in May 2016.

Reports emerged that the central defender placed 29 football bets on matches spanning a period of three weeks.

5.Andros Townsend

Everton winger, Andros Towsend is another English footballer who was caught breaking the betting rules by the FA.

During the 2012/13 season, Townsend revealed that he lost £46,000 in one night while engaging in his gambling addiction.
