QPR and Nigeria defender Leon Balogun
Queens Park Rangers manager, Gareth Ainsworth has confirmed that Leon Balogun will be out for the rest of the season after the Nigerian defender suffered another injury.
Balogun’s 2022/23 campaign has been ravaged by injury and ahead of QPR’s Sky Bet Championship match against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, Ainsworth confirmed another.
“We have got a very good squad available now and did not pick any injuries up at Burnley which was brilliant,” Ainsworth told reporters at the pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Only Ossie Kakay and Leon Balogun will be out for the rest of the season and I am gutted for them as they are both brilliant professionals.”
Balogun joined QPR last summer on a free transfer and was a mainstay in their defence, starting 12 league games and scoring one goal before an injury kept him to the sidelines. (The Guardian)
