They are usually spotted behind the console, with their fingers ever busy, scratching the records and manipulating the buttons with titillating dexterity. They are called the Disc-Jockeys (DJs or Dee-Jays). Some of them are on the pay roll of radio stations. Some work in the recording studios for the production of albums by celebrated acts, while a bunch are self-employed and are hired to perform at socials.   Today, we are parading five richest and celebrated Disc-Jockeys, namely: DJ Exclusive, DJ Coublon, DJ Humility, DJ Jimmy Jatt, and DJ Ecool.              

DJ EXCLUSIVE

Many music followers may not have actually heard of DJ Exclusive whose real name is Rotimi Alakija, until Timaya showcased him in his Exclusivity album. Before then, Showbiz Xtra scooped that the fine boy DJ had been working for celebrated acts like Wizkid, Kizz Daniels, and other top celebs. His financial sources are numerous, including disc-jockeying, album  releases and endorsements.

No wonder, those knowledgeable about his sources of revenues, insist that the tight mixer's networth is $2 million, which obviously makes him the richest among his colleagues.                

 DJ COUBLON

This young man who may not be as celebrated as few of his colleagues, is however Twittered to be financially okay. In fact, sources close to him ticked him as the second richest DJ. He is said to have been behind most of the works of top acts like Yemi Alade, Kizz Daniel, Tekno, Patoranking, Iyanya and other front seat acts. His networth is put at $1.8 million.                                      

DJ JIMMY JATT

This old warhorse in the game of mixing and scratching records over the decades, is still there, doing it well. Interestingly, he has since graduated to record making through dueting with Wizkid and few other top acts. He's well known and celebrated in Nigeria, nay, Africa.  A former President of Disc-jockey Association of Nigeria (DJAN), who steered their affairs for years, before he lost his re-election bid. There's no doubt that the frontline disco-motivator, whose networth is said to be almost $1.6 million, actually raked in millions through corporate shows over the years.              

DJ ECOOL

He is simply described as the youngman with style in the assemblage of of DJs as a result of the ever present stylish dye on a part of his head, which automatically stands him out in the crowd of the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) group. The style ambassador, also an act, is the official DJ/in-house mixer of the DMW label. He has a hit, “Ada”, in which he did a duet with Davido, the Chief Executive Officer of DMW.  The success of this album did not only shot him into focus within the DJs, but also fetched him attention and respect within the fold of DMW and outside, by giving him jobs which ultimately rake in money too. We scooped that his networth is said to be in the range of $1millon.

DJ HUMILITY

His real name is Benedict Afagwu and he's from Owerri Olubor, in Delta State. He describes himself as a battle DJ. He's been pretty long on the beats scene, doing business and working for Rhythm FM station as head of the DJ team, before he bowed out in style few years ago. His networth, according to close feelers, is estimated to be $900, 000.
