The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld the October 24, 2015 judgment of the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Suleiman Ambrosa, which nullified the of Governor Nyesom Wike and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh election in the state within 90 days.
The appellate court struck out Barrister Wike’s appeal seeking to upturn the judgment of the tribunal in the case the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
