Today, we will be showcasing four internationally recognized and celebrated actresses on the African continent, starting from Jackie Appiah, Omotola Jolade-Ekehinde, Mercy Aigbe and Elizabeth Michael(Lulu). Jackie Appiah is from Ghana, Omotola Jolade-Ekehinde and Mercy Aigbe are from Nigeria, while Elizabeth Michael (Lulu) is from Tanzania.
JACKIE APPIAH
This top Ghanaian stationed actress, is a Canadian-born professional, regarded as one of Africa’s celebrated actress. For decades, she has remained one of the most attractive and equally sought after pretty actress. In fact, for decades too, Appiah has been one of the gorgeous faces to grace some of the African television screens. As a beauty queen, the 34-year-old actress has been showcased in a good number of tight productions. It is on good source that throughout the period of her career, she was nominated for a bunch of awards, which she equally won.
OMOTOLA JOLADE-EKEHINDE
This tall and beefy Nigerian actress is well known and applauded in the movie world of the African continent. Ekehinde’s fans refer to her in Nollywood as ‘Omo Sexy” because of her titillating natural looks. This front seat occupier is also a singer with an album to show for it. But the pity of it all is that her involvement in the Nollywood concern has actually grabbed her attention to the detriment of her musical interest which has been relegated. The crossover actress who is obviously at home in any role in Yoruba and English productions could be described as being lucky to have been tipped as one of the celebrated actresses in the African continent. The Edo-born actress is simply one of those in the movie circumference who is conversant with acting. Producers, Directors and most Marketers know this and this has fetched her recognition and jobs too, some of which pitiably came with controversies, especially from the marital home front. There is no doubt that this factor which is capable of distracting her, may have affected her. Hence, her face appears to be no longer regular in most Yoruba productions.
ELIZABETH MICHAEL (LULU)
This well recognized professional in Africa, we scooped, started her acting career in her Tanzanian home front at the tender age of five years. Lulu's consistence has finally fetched her the prestigious Zanzibar International Film Festival prize as best actress for her outstanding outings. It is on good source that she has been showcased in some celebrated productions like ‘Foolish Age’, ‘Dangerous Girl’, ‘Oxygen’ and other top rated movies which may have attracted these recognitions and mention too.
