Kogi election update: Audu whips Governor Wada at polling unit •Results trickle in

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Kogi State governorship election, Prince Abubakar Audu, scored 240 votes in his polling unit 002, LEA School, Ogbonicha/Ofeche, Ochi-Ogbonicha Omodofa Ward 10 to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival Governor Idris Wada.

The INEC official who supervised election at the unit Edicha Matthew announced the results which showed that from the 654 names on the voters’ register, 255 were accredited.

The PDP had no vote as three votes were declared invalid.

Earlier, there were rumours spreading in the social media that Audu’s polling unit was in disarray after the PDP candidate won in the unit.

Results of the election conducted earlier today started trickling in this evening. Below are some of them:

Ogori/Mangogo Okibo unit 1: PDP 57, APC 9; Unit 2: PDP 56, APC 13. Okesi ward unit 01: PDP 118, APC 13, PPA 2

Ankpa ojoku ward bangele unit 1:PDP 346, APC 40; Kabba/Bunu St Barnabas Unit,

Odolu Ward: APC 206 PDP 95; Ijumu Ayere unit 03: APC 101 PDP 58; AyegunleGdede/ Iluhafon ward: APC 167, PDP 41, Oja Otun Iyara: APC 146 PDP 36;

Demonstration Kabba Okekoko ward: APC 171, PDP 70; Akefe unit: PDP 138, APC 117

Ogori/Mangogo Okibo unit 1: PDP 57, APC 9; Unit 2: PDP 56, APC 13. Okesi ward unit 01: PDP 118, APC 13, PPA 2

Lokoja LGA Ward A: SUBEB POLLING UNIT: APC 193, PDP 129. As declared by INEC.
