The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Kogi State governorship election, Prince Abubakar Audu, scored 240 votes in his polling unit 002, LEA School, Ogbonicha/Ofeche, Ochi-Ogbonicha Omodofa Ward 10 to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival Governor Idris Wada.
The INEC official who supervised election at the unit Edicha Matthew announced the results which showed that from the 654 names on the voters’ register, 255 were accredited.
The PDP had no vote as three votes were declared invalid.
Earlier, there were rumours spreading in the social media that Audu’s polling unit was in disarray after the PDP candidate won in the unit.
