Theatre arts experts know that the looks of actors and actresses on set are the creative handiwork of costume experts. But beyond this make up magic,a bunch of celebrity actors have been throwing their weight about as signposts of fashion-conscious stars outside their locations.
Today, we are proudly parading five of the fashion sirens, starting with Ramsey Noah, Nonso Diobi, Jim Iyke, Chidi Mokame, and Bob Manuel-Udoukwu.
RAMSEY NOAH:This top actor fans hate to love has since been tipped as the most fashionable in Nollywood. That position, the loverboy actor has maintained over a decade as an icon. Feelers regularly in close touch with the showboy insist that he is in love with suits, jackets and jeans at a time, anytime any day. From the ever availability of these wears, one can easily, and correctly too, deduce that his wardrobe may be full of various designs of those wears. No wonder, feelers in the know maintained that his favourite shopping spot is Italy. Now, we are fully aware why heads turn always wherever and whenever he appears.
NONSO DIOBI:The case of the obviously lucky actor was simply one that God shot into focus immediately he came into Nollywood for business. The good looking actor is known and celebrated for his undying love for suits and traditional wears. Luckily for him, he has a built that blends easily and well too, with any wear. He's undoubtedly a lover of any good wear which incidentally makes him bubble physically.
JIM IYKE:This highly controversial top actor really takes pride in his appearance any time, any day. He is simply one actor that does not spare any amount to look his best. Honestly! Interestingly, his philosophy did not start today. It actually dates back to 2002 when Showbiz Xtra knew him in Noollywood. He has been spotted many times in both casual and corporate wears, especially the corporate ones mostly. Till date, he is yet to be seen in traditional wear or wears. His reason may have to do with the simple fact that he looks clumsy in it. The macho looking actor, by the way, is a great lover of fine and corporate shoes which he wears to match. This freak of celebrated fashion outfits around the world, however, is a patron of our local designs. In fact, one of his clothing outfits is stationed on the bustling Akerele road, Surulere, Lagos.
CHIDI MOKEME: The Oba town-born indigene in Anambra State has since become the tin god of fashion in Noollywood as a result of his high sense of fashionable wears which have always kept tongues wagging. Those who are familiar with his backdrop as fashion personified wouldn't have been taken aback by his steady stride in fashion discourse and concern. As a gentleman of style, he loves to spot corporate wears. However, he does causal sometimes. Anyway, his wears are dictated by the occasion in focus. Showbiz Xtra can say categorically that MOKEME can't be caught napping without his dark sun glasses which he usually wears stylishly on his fore head like a gentleman with panache.
BOB MANUEL-UDOUKWU: Bob, as he is popularly addressed in Noollywood, is a powerful dresser in the industry any time and any day. In fact, he remained so, till political appointment dragged him away. The tall and handsome celebrity actor who have been in government over the years now, used to be a diehard fan of corporate, traditional or casual wears, depending on the gathering. However, observations have since given him out as a lover of suits and casuals.
