President Muhammadu Buhari has sounded the death knell for the Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P), a report from Abuja said.
The report said that Buhari has given the mandate to wind up the interventionist agency set up by the preceding Goodluck Jonathan administration up to the end of this month to complete its work and submit its report.
SURE-P was set up following the January 2011 fuel riots in fulfillment of the promise by then President Jonathan to introduce palliatives and use part of the money from the fuel increase of that month to undertake development prgrammes.
