Music star Alariwo critically ill, needs $130,000 for treatment abroad

Crossover King Alariwo of Africa (real name Rotimi Martins) is critically ill and needs public support to raise $130,000 to treat him abroad, his camp said yesterday.

Information released by the camp said that Alariwo, who is also President/CEO of Dakijo Records, has for months battled Vericocele, an enlargement of veins inside the scrotum, “and the entertainer needs about $130,000 for an operation in the United States of America or Germany.” It added that “the musician has been going through hell with the illness and needs help badly to travel abroad for medical attention.”

Alariwo’s illness came on the heel of the blood clot that saw his wife Shola Nkem Ayishat being hospitalised for about a month at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

“Those who really want Alariwo to stay alive must support him for his medical attention abroad,” his camp said.
