Imo orders mechanics, spare parts dealers to move to Avu Mechanic Village

The Imo State Government has directed all mechanics and spare parts dealers in Owerri Metropolis to relocate to Avu Mechanic Village without delay.

Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu, said in a terse statement issued on Friday in Owerri: “All Mechanics, Auto-Allied Technicians and Spare Parts Dealers in Owerri Metropolis (Nekede, Orji and Owerri Municipality) are directed to move to the permanent site at Avu Mechanic Village on or before December 21st, 2015.

“For enquiries, please contact the Consultant on Relocation of Mechanics to Avu at the office of Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Cabinet Office along Sam Mbakwe Road, Owerri.

Note that anyone who fails to comply with this directive will have his or herself to blame.

“Please, be guided accordingly.”
