Ahead of the monthly sanitation exercise holding today, Saturday, October 31, 2015 across the 23 local government areas of the state, the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro Felix Obuah, has cautioned youths and market women against converting the sanitation hours of 7am to 10am for street football and trading.
Bro Obuah also advised security agents against flouting sanitation laws by escorting and providing cover for those who have formed the habit of not partaking in the monthly sanitation exercise.
The Sole Administrator in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, said as usual, all those flouting sanitation restriction hours of 7am to 10am would be arrested and prosecuted.
The Agency, the statement added, is the only legally recognised body authorised to issue sanitation exemption permit, warning that anyone found with exemption permit not issued by the Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency, or photocopy of sanitation exemption permit, will be arrested and prosecuted.
