The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is reported to have temporarily suspended its presidential campaign. This development has been adduced to the ongoing crisis in the party involving the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike and other party stakeholders.

Party sources said he had drafted three prominent PDP stakeholders to mediate in the rift between him and Wike.
Atiku was reported to have drafted a former Senate President, David Mark; a former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili and a former Delta Governor, James Ibori as mediators.
The new development is to further give l give the three new “arbitrators” enough time to deal with the situation
This has now affected the campaign rally scheduled to hold in Kebbi on Wednesday, October 12 as it has been cancelled.
